Hello, I’m Rachael

I’m a childminder in South Lancing, close to the village centre.
I came to childminding from a teaching background, having five years experience in both Nursery and School settings, 15 years childminding experience and a degree in Early Years Education.  I have two grown up children of my own.  

I hold a current level 3 qualification in paediatric first aid and have a current DBS check.  I also have a level 3 qualification in home based childcare.

My setting has public liability insurance and I am registered with OFSTED who carry out regular inspections.  As an Ofsted registered Childminder I am restricted to the number and ages of  children that I can care for at any one time. These details are on my Ofsted Registration Certificate, which is displayed during my minding hours.

I am registered to care for 6 children under 8 years of age and can provide care for children over 8 within my insured numbers.

I am happy to take on any baby/child within my registered numbers and will not discriminate against children or their families for reasons such as race, religion, sex or ability.  I have experience in working alongside children who have additional needs and my house is wheelchair friendly.

All children are welcomed into my home and I encourage the other children in my care to support me with this.
