It was inset today for the local school which meant there was time for everybody to get involved in lots of fun activities here. We started off the day with some after breakfast spooky spiders. The children all loved making their ‘scratch colour’ spiders and the younger ones were fascinated by how a plain, wooden pencil could make such colourful marks. The end results were really eye catching.
Spiders complete everyone got ready for a walk to the station where we caught the train to soft play in Worthing. Lots of excitement from whose turn it was to press the green man button to who could open the train doors when we arrived!
All the children played solidly for 2 hours. I heard lots of imagination games, role play games and sheer enjoyment. I think every child met someone else they knew there too!
A quick train trip back home and a speedy change into clean clothes for playgoup photos. Wait until you see them, the smiles were beautiful!
Autumn pictures in the afternoon and trees to decorate with owl, squirrel, acorn. leaf, badger and fox stickers – lots of discussion about which stickers belonged on the trees and which on the ground and some lovely recounting of animals the children have seen in the past.
