We’ve all enjoyed a Diwali themed week this week, ending today with Indian snacks and the making of our very own Thali. The children all agreed that Popadoms were a fantastic food, loved the naan bread and one little person in particular liked the bombay aloo.
I was so pleased with their plates – the children chose their own decorations with the only adult input being the drawing round their hands in the middle. I love the way one of the children has put a button on the end of each finger and another has used them round the edge.
Next week we’re cooking across 3 days – starter, main course and pudding as we look further at foods in the local environment.
