Our Pre Christmas Counting song

We’re having a number focus for our morning story times this coming week and I am hoping to teach all  the children this song:

Tune: The Twleve Days of Christmas

Jim and Rosie went out walking and What did they see?

  • Ten flowers dancing
  • Nine rabbits hopping
  • Eight chickens hatching
  • Seven children chatting
  • Six squirrels scuttling
  • F I V E sailing boats
  • Four flying kites
  • Three brown cows
  • Two scarecrows
  • …and one duck quacking for tea!

It’s never too early for a Christmas tune!  As part of the children’s adult led activities we’ll be making a giant book of the song for them to share together. I’m quite excited!
